The sound of synchronized heartbeats. The noise of boys. Cheap Beat.

No upcoming gigs at the moment. We´re focusing on writing new songs but if we get a good enough gig, we´ll of course take it. Join the mailing list to stay updated.
As you may have noticed, we are playing more student towns in April. Lund and Uppsala once more. We certainly remember the last time we played Dirty Frank in Lund. We actually almost got Beaten up on stage before we started playing. Why? Because Kim brought Skåne’s flag up on stage which apparently should not be touched by people from Stockholm. We should be a bit safer this time since lots of our friends studies in Lund.
We are also playing in Gothenburg in July which will be a blast. This is actually the first time we are going to play in Gothenburg which is weird since such great music come from GBG.
We are going to play at Debaser Slussen next Friday (January 25th). The club is named Restless Romance and we are playing before some Brittish dudes so get there quite early. It costs 100 kr but you can afford it since you just got your salary.
Also, here is a link to an article on us, published in a US magazine called Anthem.
Three words for ya´ college boys.. University of LIFE!

Change of date. We don´t know the new one yet but we´ll tell you as soon as we do.

We realize, of course, that you already know the location of Allhuset but we´re gonna tell you anyway: Stockholms universitet. Funny thing about Allhuset is that we actually already spent pretty much time there. Together we´ve done everything from lunching, studying and watching conserts, to fist-fighting with the guy responsible for the food court making him close two hours earlier then planned. But for some reason we haven´t played the stage yet. The 16th of november, that is going to change. We will work on our DJ-skills as well as playing live, so prepare for a fabulous evening!
After months and months of challenging but rewarding studio work, photo shoots, planning and preparation for the launch, we´re proud to present the Club CheapBeat EP. 4 tracks, 4 pin-points on the CheapBeat big board, some of them even obvious spots in the CheapBeat calendar.
Now you might say to yourself that Club CheapBeat is nothing but a lost summer memory, new year´s eve is months away, that you don´t live for the weekends anymore and only see your best friends on homecomings. Our answer to this is, simply, that this EP is a testimony of what has been, and at the same time a forecast of what might hit the morning papers tomorrow, a reminder that the taxis will be speeding once more.
This is the beginning of modern Pop culture. This is The Beat. Welcome to Club CheapBeat No 8!
The Last Time At The Fog. Residence Djs The Happy Kaufman will keep you feverized. To help ´em out, we´ve brought Mariefreds stolhet, Risky Bizniz. You will also be knocked to the floor, over and over again, by Cribbe from Rshnbrg Soundsystem. And of course, CheapBeat live
Last year we saw a big boat at the crayfish party!
Ok! Let´s make things clear. According to some information, we play Ung-08 on Wednesday. This is wrong! This week´s schedule for CheapBeat is as follows:
Tuesday: "Mingelfest för oss musikerfolk på kulturfestivalen", free snacks!
Wednesday: Audiofon is responsible for the whole evening at Stockholms Kulturfestivals stage "K12" (Which we believe is located by the statue of former king Karl XII Adolf/Gustaf. Feel free to correct these facts, we know nothing about statues and even less about royalties). We are flattered that they choosed us to be one of the performing acts. Also on stage is Everyday Sensations, Thoose dancing days and Asha Ali. Dj:s between the acts is Risky Bizniz. CheapBeat on stage 22.30
Thursday: Everybody got a day off. Free activities.
Friday: 1730 we play Ung-08a´s stage at Kungsträdgården.
Saturday: Annual Crayfish party! CheapBeat crew wound up a busy week by drinking snaps and eating Crayfish.
We look forward to meet you, whatever day it might be!
In 2009 or so (we all now it will take some extra years), they plan to have the new look of Slussen ready. The re-building process will problably be a pain in the ass. We don´t know what´s going to happen with Debaser Slussen then, but we do know what´s going to happen at Debaser Slussen on friday - Club Summer Adventure!
It´s time for Club CheapBeat VII and it´s a birthday party. The club turns one year old and we celebrate with dear friends, fantastic DJs and beautiful strangers. The DJs besides our residens THK is Lång-Kalle (Vänner & Bekanta and many other tings) and Klubb Audiofon (who was DJs the first club one year ago. Everything match, life is like a cycle!). There´s also a couple of kids in the club who celebrate birthdays on their own these days, among them Nisse the (former)land lord which birthday actually is today. Give him a big hug and salute him.
CheapBeat will play live, THK work on visuals and if only Sweden go ahead and Beat Denmark this might be one of the best days ever.
Wonderin where your tax-money go? We know: to us! Stockholm town wants us to play at Kulturfestivalen and of course we´re up to it. The festival is the whole week but CheapBeat play the 16th of August. More information closer to the date.
Tonight there´s a band-release party. Free beer, free food, free snacks and loads of champagne. See you there kids!

Me and Kristoffer were on our way home from a night out. We were walking from St Eriksplan towards 7-eleven with instruments in our hands. Then we hear a old voice shout : - Hey guys?! WANNA HEAR A GREAT STORY!? and we respond: -Yupp! The old man puts his cane down and starts talking: "It was in the 50´s! I sat at a table with two english blokes. I talked to both of them and they both wanted to play music in a band. They had the same ideas about what kind of music they wanted to play so I introduced them to eachother and then a couple of years later, BOOOM!! THE BeatLES!!"
I looked at Kristoffer with a bit of confusion in my eyes and Kristoffer looked back at me with the exact same look. Then the old man went at it again with another story about how he told Stradivarius how he should varnish his violins.
With some fast thinking we figured out that this man must be about 300 years old if the story was true.
Musical genius, idiot or Higlander? You decide! Cheers
If the worst part of playing in a band is that you never got a chance to see that band play live, then the worst part of being a photographer must be that you can´t appear in your own photos. Our photographer, Tobe, used to whine about not being seen enough but now he got himselfa role in ZTV:s "Redaktionen". We´re very happy for him and find his perfomance excellent. Check it out by using this hyperlink!!
Maria and myself are going to Brazil in a coule of hours. We were going to Kenya but they stupidly started a war just a few weeks before we were leaving.
I went to the circus and met a circus freak smiling, dancing, not bothered by my retreat so I went home in search for something new but met a circus freak there too
I was in my kitchen reading school material when a extremely funny episode of The Simpsons plopped up in my head. I imediately wanted to call Kristoffer and talk about it but then I remembered he´s in Brussel(?). Of course I COULD call him anyway, thanks to the fantastic high modern society we´re living in, but it wouldn´t quite be the same. I hope he´s having a great visit despite his loss of simpson joking friends.
"And the Oscar goes to...George C. Scott in "Man Getting Hit By Football"
Last night a few jolly Arsenal suporters from the band enjoyed a walk-in-the-park-victory against Bolton at the pub. The game was allright, though quite cartoon-like at times, much thanks to Ivan Campo, a real "entertainer". After the show I left my fellow hooligans and went home to enjoy a quiet evening on my own. I made some tea and climbed the stairs to the attic to get a book from my storage compartment (yeah, it was Saturday night allright). To my surprise, I found the lock cracked open and a complete mess inside, along with some other hoofprints of the ruthless burglar. It didn´t take much time to see that, among other things, my vinyl collection was gone. We´re talking about rarities like Broder Daniel Cadillac (red 7 inches, 500 copies limited ed., promotional use only), Håkan Hellström Det är så jag säger det (orange 12 inches, 100 copies limited ed.), The Plan Mon Amour (blue 7 inches, 350 copies limited ed.), Broder Daniel When We Were Winning (7 inches, 300 copies limited ed, signed) and - last but not least - The Kid Baton Rouge (7 inches, 300 copies limited ed.). So, what can I say? At least they have a great taste in music these scummy, scummy burglars.
It´s finally here and it´s a he. Today(no.. I mean yesterday) my nephew was born. My sisters baby that is. My brother already have a baby but he is like three years old now. (Pretty amazing that there´s no word in the english language to define whether your relatives are on your mothers, fathers, sisters or brothers side. It´s supoused to have the biggest vocabulary of all languages). So what do I do to celebrate this fantastic event? Obviously I invite my friends to celebrate with a glas of champagne. An offer you can´t refuse, or at least thats what I thought. After calling the three of my friends who live near by, and getting answers like: "I´m sleeping, I´ve got to work tomorrow morning and I´m starting to get tired you see, lets do it this weekend instead", I realized I was wrong. I don´t get it, how hard can it be to give champagne away? What to do, what to do? Of course i drank all of it myself. So here I am, a bit tipsy on my own. But still, what a fantastic day!
Welcome to the world! It´s fantast..... well... it´s OK most of the time.
Pat got his driver´s license on Monday! Nicely done Pat!
However, Pat isn´t the guy who is happiest about this - Nick is! Why? Because Nick was the only band member with a license until now. He´s been driving all the gear to all the gigs.
I guess it´s time for me to get my "lapp" as well. I don´t want to be in the bottom half when it comes to the getting the driver’s license as soon as possible competition. The problem is that it´s a big deal to get a license in Sweden. Sweden is world leading when it comes to road-traffic safety (e.g. the seat belt is a Swedish invention) and it´s the same when it comes to the test. You have to be fricking Michael Schumacher to pass.
