About DJs, those of you who went to CCB4 might have seen two dudes with Macintoshes behind the turntables. These guys are the Happy Kaufman and we think they really delivered. When they told us they want to produce a music video for us we got surprised and of course, very happy. They even had a dummy of the video which they showed us. Very fancy and very Cheap. Right now we´re thinking about which song to use in the video.

About songs, we´ve been talking to Jonathan who seems to be busier than ever. He says he´s more than happy to help us record a few new songs again. No dates are set but you can expect us to release new songs within a couple of weeks (free to download on the website). I bet one of these new songs is the one we´ll use in the video. Those of you who have been to a Cheap gig recently have heard these songs.

About gigs, next week we´re playing two clubs. The 24th we´re going to Linköping to play Club Teasedag. This is the furthest away from home we´ve ever played. Those of you who live in Stockholm and go there defiantly get a free Cheap Beat badge. The second gig is the 25th at Obarnen. Obaren is located is the middle of "Stureplan" in Stockholm which is like what Manhattan is to New York. In other words, very posh. We´re pretty exited about both of these gigs.

Cheap has been writing plenty of songs since the last release (Merry Go-Trench). Some of them well represented at live shows, others kept as secrets, cunningly holstered as weapons against everything there is to kill in this beatiful and terrible world. Couple of weeks ago, the beat decided it was time to put a few of these handguns out in public, not necessarily to create disorder, but to make an attempt for other kids to catch a glimpse of the everyday beauty of the beat (the beauty they themselves acknowledge and experience on a daily and nightly basis).
They once again teamed up with the dynamic duo of the High Heeled Honeys, and cast three songs into eternity. The result is closer and beatier.
